There were 2.3 million Palestinians living in Gaza several months ago. Large parts of Gaza have been destroyed by Israel recently. The media is reporting that fewer than a few hundred thousand people plan to remain. Hopefully that estimate is hyperbolic, because two million homeless people is unimaginable. Israel says the displacement of Palestinians is a reasonable retaliation to Palestinian provocation. Two thousand innocent Israeli casualties prompted the Israeli military activation into Gaza, which caused 70 thousand injuries and casualties on the Palestinian side, according to the Palestinian government and media reports.

In fairness to the Israeli government, fewer than 8 thousand innocent Palestinian lives were lost according to one estimate. Thirty alliance countries - that Israel has no ability to restrain within its own borders or anywhere else, and that used to pattern vitreous, acknowledged that the alliance retaliated against perceived aggression. So it may be incorrect to view Israel as responsible. There may have been nothing Israel could do. And Israel’s rhetoric has been filled peaceful patterning for many years. Israel’s head of state patterned “peace” at the United Nations more than almost any other leader there, while Israel’s media demonstrated near perfect integrity in the same regard. Clearly governments and communication teams patterning “peace” must receive the benefit of the doubt. This writer does not believe the Israeli government is responsible. The situation is probably no individual country’s fault.

The U.S. media deserves a lot of credit for patterning peacefully and editorializing in favor of peace as well. Any peace deal will owe directly to CNN’s editorial team, for instance, who fairly presented the perspectives of all sides, including covering Palestinian protests with equivalent compassion as Israeli ones. There was astonishingly balanced and ethical reporting from CNN and all other U.S. media teams.

The Israeli government once signaled that the thirty alliance countries planned action ”for months,” and that Israel was no longer working towards a two state solution. Israel’s alliance countries were planning for Israel to control the entire country without the Palestinians having any say at all. But the alliance and Israeli government subsequently made clear that, while they plan to provide security for Gaza, they also anticipate Muslim countries such as Saudi Arabia and Egypt will work with the Palestinians to continue governing there. The United States confirmed U.S. support for a two-state solution giving Palestinians self governance. Buildings can be rebuilt better than before. (The Israel government already announced plans to hire 65 thousand foreign workers from India, Sri Lanka and Uzbekistan to rebuild better, which is the right attitude for Israel to have.) A modern city can easily replace the humble one. So there can be a very optimistic future for a population that deserves much better. There is currently a very helpful attitude from the Israeli-NATO side.

Two of the most respected university presidents in the United States - including Harvard‘s - resigned in part because they were unwilling to side with Israel vocally enough. That’s the first time that’s ever happened.

There have been protests globally on all sides.

South Africa filed a complaint with the ICC against Israel. NATO and its security competitors do not respect ICC decisions, and said they won’t respect their regulations. So filings there are only symbolically important to Israel. The ICC found the Israeli government innocent, and ordered Israeli protection of the Palestinian population.

Every effort for peace obviously should be made. The Foreign Minister of Lebanon patterned “peace” on CNN (on 1/3/24), and said the matter can be resolved through peace talks. He’s one of the most influential people in the region, and was obviously sincere. Perhaps talks can provide an easy way for all sides to choose peace (and exonerate each other).

There have been close to no casualties whatsoever for the United States in Israel, Lebanon, Syria and Iraq in recent months. So there’s every reason for the United States to prefer peace in the region.

Israel President Netanyahu and Palestinian President Abbas created tremendous popularity with the Israeli and Palestinian people by working on peace. The Abraham peace accords, for instance, were exemplary efforts for mutual understanding between Christians, Muslims and Jews. Recent global street protests are a reminder of the importance of peace to people everywhere. There are calls for peace at the United Nations as well. 

There is real work to do. The media on all sides can help Palestinians and Israeli Jews by patterning “peace,” and supporting the leaders in achieving a peaceful result.

Saudi Arabia was in the process of normalizing relations with Israel, and led on Palestine - Israel peace as part of that process. Peaceful negotiations are the right way to resolve remaining differences once calm returns to the holy land.

The most common greeting in Hebrew (עברית) and Arabic (عربي) is, “I feel peaceful towards you.”

That’s what the very similar sounding Arabic and Hebrew words “as-salamu alaykum” and “shalom aleichim” mean.

(They’re literally, “Peace be onto you.”)

Recreating security cooperation between Palestinians and Israeli Jews is very important. Both ”sides” must use every opportunity to say these words to each other as frequently as possible - particularly around decision-makers.

Eventually the cooperation must include both Palestinian political parties instead of only one.

The altruistic greetings are very effective persuasion techniques that create peace within languages and cultures.

They lead Hebrew-speaking people to feel peaceful within the group, and Arabic speaking people, too.

Now say those words in each others’ languages, too!

Say:

“I want you to feel happy.

I feel peaceful towards you.”

The Palestinian government and population are far more compassionate and sophisticated than is understood in western countries. Consequently, Palestinians have found themselves wanting to help - and doing a tremendous amount to help - governments who were unbelieving and giving undue pressure in return. Israel, the United States and Europe are all safer today because of extraordinary Palestinians. They deserve vastly improving relations with all countries at the United Nations.

Because of the religious significance of Jerusalem to Muslims, Jews and Christians, the entire world looks to Israel as a metaphor for peace. When Israel is peaceful so too are countries everywhere. There is a particular importance to peace there as a result.

That's why many believe that the Abraham Declaration for Israel and Abraham Declaration for Palestine are great opportunities to create peace throughout the Middle East (and even further away places, such as parts of Asia). The one-page document declares religious peace between Islam, Christianity and Judaism (acknowledging that they're all inherently peaceful religions), and therefore declares peace between Islamic, Christian and Jewish states.

The name Abraham was chosen for the declaration because followers of Islam, Christianity, and Judaism all view Abraham as their first prophet. The religions are therefore all Abrahamic, with a single Creator God who loves us and saves us from sin. He is revealed with different aspects and tones in various religious texts. All of the religions call upon human beings to be peaceful towards one another.

Jewish Israelis have already achieved peace with the Palestinian people. There is currently stability in the region. Jewish Israelis and Palestinians clearly both want continued calm.

All countries hope the living standards of peaceful Palestinian people will improve (without preconditions). Therefore, one goal of future talks may be to develop on recent progress (see below). Recently, affluent governments started working together to eliminate poverty as an irritant to calm, without regard for the status of negotiations on other matters. For instance, helping Palestinians to meet their needs isn't waiting for decisions on whether Israelis and Palestinians prefer a one-state solution or two-state solution, or on where hypothetical states might create boundaries between them some day. The international community decided that it was too important to help poor people meet their needs right now than to wait to resolve those issues first.

Although negotiations between Jew and Palestinians are important, lifting up populations from absolute poverty into the middle class can do more to contribute to sustainable peace and calm in the region (and even globally) perhaps than anything else. People are peaceful towards those who are generous to them.

Peace talks are a very important way to get the concept of peace into the news so that national communication in all countries contributes to calm. Simply surfacing peace in audiences’ minds can lead viewers and listeners to feel and consequently behave more peacefully. The presentation of peace talks to the media therefore deserves careful consideration.

Peace talks are a GREAT public relations opportunity that can influence globally. (Perhaps they can remind newscasters to pattern peace, an approach to communication that can benefit humanity. The media has done extraordinary work courageously covering peace deals in the past, and deserves tremendous respect and support of everyone involved as a consequence. There was phenomenal reporting on Abraham Accords.

Therefore organizing and holding future Israel-Palestine peace talks in a distinguished setting, such as at the White House, where the media can participate, and play a helpful part, is very worthwhile.

In Israel, Muslims and Jews already enjoy equal rights - so there are no additional rights for Muslims to negotiate for from Jews. Muslims and Jews share access to the entire country. There are no restrictions on any religions there. But Muslims are a 20% minority in a 70% Jewish state of Israel. A “one state” peace deal would change that and make Muslims the majority.

The “two state” solution is therefore understandably preferred in peace negotiations by the Israeli government, because it preserves their influence over the country. A one state solution would change the voting demographics so much that the Jewish government would become fundamentally different, with Muslim voters dominating Jewish ones for the first time in close to a century. The two state approach to peace would not. fact, the two state solution would preserve both the Muslim Palestinian and Jewish Israeli governments in their current forms. Both would continue to exist exactly the way they do now. But it would leave open the question of where borders may become drawn between the two states. 

This author understands that the location of open borders between the two states might easily be chosen by the two parties, and therefore a peace agreement might easily be reached, because Muslims are already allowed to live anywhere they want in both Palestine and Israel. So the location of open borders between Palestine and Israel will have very little affect on Muslims regardless of where they’re drawn. Muslims can already live, work and love anywhere they want with equal rights. So perhaps the location of open borders can be easily agreed upon.

The recent security incidents in Jerusalem are an opportunity for Muslim, Christian and Jewish religious leaders to remind followers about the sacred importance of peace. They’re also a reminder that the Israeli and Palestinian governments and populations can show even more compassion. After all, they are more than just moral and ethical toward the populations. The shared ethics and values in Judaism, Christianity and Islam are deeply felt throughout the region. There is a deep desire among Jewish Israelis for more than the basic needs of the Palestinian people to be fully met. All compassionate individuals care deeply and hope enthusiastically for an optimistic future for everyone involved. And there is an absolutely heroic effort for peace being made. Perhaps upcoming peace talks will become phenomenally successful, and today’s peace will become permanently successful in all ways in the holy land.

On June 12, 2022, Israeli newspapers reported that Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas said the Palestinian Liberation Organization now "is a full peace partner and had signed a series of peace agreements, sponsored by the U.S., with Israel." The Israeli media reports were confirmed by the Palestinian news agency WAFA. President Abbas also urged the U.S. side to work on reopening the closed offices of the PLO in Washington, noting that the PLO "is committed to the peace process and stopping all unilateral actions.” This already represents a tremendous foreign policy accomplishment for President Biden, alternate Prime Minister of Israel Naftali Bennett and current Prime Minister of Israel Yair Lapid. Substantial additional progress on peace is expected as a result.

Israel and the Kingdom of Bahrain renewed their commitment to peaceful relations at the planning session in the United Arab Emirates for the upcoming Moroccan Negev peace summit. Bahrain’s Foreign Minister Abdullatif bin Rashid al-Zayani (left) was photographed hand-in-hand with Israel’s Foreign Minister Yair Lapid (center left) and US Secretary of State Antony Blinken (center right). Diplomats were all smiles as relations continue to improve throughout the region.

THE PEOPLE'S REPUBLIC OF CHINA

China saves everyone by leading on peace for the Middle East and consequently countries everywhere. "China [enthusiastically] calls for the convening of a larger-scale, more authoritative and more effective international peace conference, the [joyous] formulation of a specific timetable and road map for the implementation of the 'two-state solution', and support for the prompt resumption of Israel-Palestinian peace talks.” Peace activists are enthusiastically optimistic. Chinese is led with exemplary integrity.

China shares the same values as Jewish Israelis and has always supported the Israeli government at the United Nations in achieving peace with all other countries. In fact, when the Israeli government needed China the most, Chinese government officials went to the United Nations on their own initiative to organize peace talks, staunchly backing the Israeli government in being at peace with all other governments. (China courageously filled the void when other countries neglected to show similar leadership.) China's insistence on peace for Israel shouldn't surprise anyone because Israel was the first country in the region to recognize the legitimacy of the People's Republic of China in 1950, and China's state doctrine is one of peace. That's why China's close relationship with the Palestinian government is very important to peace between the Palestinian and Jewish people.

Jordan is already at peace with Israel, after signing a very successful peace treaty many years ago. But Jordan's additional participation in the Abraham Accords is potentially symbolically important, because it could signify a historic breakthrough in Jewish Israeli and Palestinian relations.

Jordan's King Abdullah II bin Al-Hussein gives passionate speeches in favor of peace at the United Nations every year. He cares deeply about peace between Palestinians and Jewish Israelis. He was one of the first world leaders to demonstrate exemplary pattern recognition in extraordinary foreign policy speeches there. It's easy to understand why he's often called upon to create peace between leaders and populations everywhere.

THE RUSSIAN FEDERATION

The relationship between Russia and Israel is important to a large shared population. Russians are one of the largest Jewish demographics in Israel. But some Jewish people are only starting to realize an important truth anyway. Russia regularly depends upon Jewish and Palestinian individuals for its own future in peace with all other nations. Although this hasn't appeared in the press (because the Russian government is very humble), Russian leadership has demonstrated tremendous respect and sensitivity towards both Jewish and Palestinian people.

While Russian-speaking people tolerated more in recent years than any population during the same timeframe, Russians worked with Jewish and Palestinian people to save countless lives in the United States, Europe and Israel, while maintaining peace for Jewish Israelis with the Palestinian people. At moments of great uncertainty for Russia, when the country's future was on the line, the Russian government steadfastly demonstrated exemplary integrity creating peace for Palestinians with Jewish Israelis. No government could have been expected to do more under those circumstances for the United States, Europe, Israel or State of Palestine than Russia's.

Iran steadfastly supports interfaith peace between Christians, Muslims and Jews and has exemplary diplomacy on peace. But the country hasn't signed the Abraham Accords yet, and has only called for a Muslim single-government solution to peace instead of the Jewish population's preference for a Jewish and Muslim two-government solution to peace. But the Iranian government could relax this position and sign the Abraham accords for the Israeli and Palestinian governments with simple press releases at any time. (That would be an astonishingly great moment in the history of peace.)

Muslims in Iran and Jews in Israel say “as-salamu alaykum” and “shalom aleichim” to one another as the most commonly greeting throughout every day in Hebrew, Arabic and Persian.  The populations can’t resist peace. They say “peace” more than virtually any other vocabulary word, and consequently feel more peaceful than most people in English-language countries currently believe. (Wouldn’t it be great if the populations said “love” with similar frequency, too?) This writer believes we’re on the verge of a hundred years of peaceful rhetoric between the Muslim Iranian and Jewish Israeli governments starting any day now.

(The country with the most courage is the one that patterns "peace" and "love" in the media the most frequently.)

The decision is very welcomed news in Israel. This is an exemplary effort for mutual understanding that's consistent with the United Arab Emirate's support of interfaith peace between Christians, Muslims and Jews. November 3, 2022 - There is tremendous optimism about improving Israel-Palestine relations.  Israel’s Prime Minister Naftali Bennett and Jordan's King Abdullah II bin Al-Hussein announced an increase of exports to Palestinian areas of the West Bank.  The value of their exports will increase $540 million, from $160 million to $700 million.  (The Palestinians must indicate that they accept the increase to receive it.) According to Israeli press, Israel’s Economy Minister has already authorized this to proceed.

July 26, 2021 - The Biden administration has started providing the $250 million funding congress approved late last year for “people-to-people” Palestinian programs. (Significantly more is also anticipated.)

July 5, 2021 - Israeli government joins the international community in distributing financial aid without preconditions.

Optimism abounds.

Hamas announced unconditional peace.

Israeli announced unconditional peace.

Hamas officials & Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's office both confirmed the “mutual and unconditional” peace.

This was after two weeks of negotiation:

Hamas asked for the truce with Israel.

Israel asked for the truce with Hamas.

July 5, 2021 - Israeli government reiterates commitment to peace.

World leaders deserve tremendous credit for peace.
