The minimum you must know

The Abraham Declaration is a unilateral public declaration (or can be used as a treaty between nation states) that simply acknowledges there is religious peace between Islam, Christianity and Judaism (because they are all peaceful religions), and therefore there is peace between Islamic, Christian and Jewish states. It has been used as a document for recognizing and opening up diplomatic relations with Israel. It can equally be used as a document for recognizing and opening up diplomatic relations with Palestine (the stated goal of the President of Palestine). This can be done as a simple press release. It's a promise that peace is already achieved, and that all secular negotiations (such as regarding borders) are going to be resolved peacefully (also the stated position of the President of Palestine).

The name Abraham was chosen for the declaration because followers of Islam, Christianity, and Judaism all view Abraham as their first prophet. The religions are therefore all Abrahamic, with a single Creator God who loves us and saves us from sin. He is revealed with different aspects and tones in various religious texts, in which he commands human beings to be peaceful towards one another.
