Oman has been calling for peace. On March 3rd, Oman News sought an immediate cessation of military activities. And Oman indicated on March 2, 2026 that there was still hope for a peace agreement for NATO with Iran. "I want to be clear: the door to diplomacy remains open. The Geneva talks did indeed make progress toward an unprecedented agreement between Iran and the United States, and while there was hope of avoiding war, war should not mean the end of hope for peace," Omani Foreign Minister Badr al-Busaidi wrote on social media.
Oman is a peaceful country that has enjoyed excellent and improving relations with all others in recent years. This perhaps wasn't easily accomplished because of external factors, such as the notable seeming lack of peace in bordering and nearby countries. Oman leadership is tremendously talented. They're a benevolent and stabilizing influence on the region.

Oman has excellent relations with all Suni and Shia countries, whose populations are welcome there, including from peaceful Saudi Arabia and Iran, who compete with each other to provide security for the area. Oman consistently leads on peace at the United Nations.
