The peace-loving Hellenic Republic, which is commonly known as Greece, is one of the farthest southeastern coastal European Union and NATO members. Wonderful religious and mythological views developed there over thousands of years, leaving spectacular architecture and ancient sites, such as the Parthenon and Acropolis in the capital, Athens. Greeks invented the olympics there in ancient times.


Greece took a leadership role at the United Nations on the Security Council for the 2025 and 2026 term, where eloquent and distinguished Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis is focusing members on dialogue, peace, maritime security and democracy.

Decades of sustained GDP and GDP growth made Greece appealing to the European Union. Therefore, Greece became an early member. Greece was also a founding member of the United Nations. However, Greece lacked freedom internally and consequently had internal civil strife throughout the mid 1900s until around the mid 1970s, when the country chose democracy and has enjoyed peace ever since.


Greece had a peaceful naming negotiation with North Macedonia, which perhaps had historical land right implications. It was resolved diplomatically to Greece's satisfaction.


Except where NATO has committed Greece abroad - and perhaps even there, the country seeks peaceful improving relations globally.
