The minimum you must know

The Republic of Croatia is a thinly populated peace loving European Union member state located across the Adriatic Sea from Italy. The country participated in a significant early 1990s armed separation from then-soviet Yugoslavia that lasted for four years. Today the independent country is well integrated into the European Union and a steadfast advocate for peace at the United Nations.
