APPRECIATE SCIENTIFIC PROGRESS
There is always a tremendous competition between those who believe in existing scientific views, and those who believe in new ideas first.
There are always innocent, good and ethical people who believe in existing scientific views, and there are always innocent, good and ethical people who enjoy scientific advances, and the ideas that may eventually replace existing ones.
Your perspective on science has nothing to do with your ethics or integrity. People with tremendous integrity try to help everyone the most with various perspectives all the time. People who believe in older versus newer ideas are the same with respect to their innocence, ethics and integrity.
There are always real lives on the line in science. Countless millions of people depend upon innocent, good and ethical people to help everyone the best ways that they can. But a temporary differences can develop between groups that hold older and newer ideas - because all sides in debates on science care deeply about helping everyone.
Ultimately, everyone enjoys being on the same side as science advances. How do you know? Because all people who believe in existing scientific views inevitably believe the group with the most advanced ideas. The people involved are therefore ultimately the same. They’re ultimately one group. Clearly there is no important moral or ethical difference between individuals who initially don’t know any better and those who first do. There is no important moral or ethical difference between those who hold onto existing prevailing views and individuals who introduce them to new ones.
In other words, the separation of people into two categories during the progression of science is inherently very temporary. People initially are divided up between people who believe existing ideas versus new ones. They may not agree for a short time - from a deep desire to help everyone enjoy the most safety. But eventually everyone joins together. Innocent, good and ethical people eventually become united around the best scientific advances. They become the same group.
You’re free to enjoy science
