People accidentally imperil themselves with vocabulary word choice.
If someone says “die” to the people around him enough times…
…he might get hit dead by them.
That’s obviously terrible.
That’s called being “your own worst enemy” in persuasion and influence.
Don’t be your own worst enemy.
Don’t become the Moe Howard, Larry Fine or Curly Howard - with the people closest to you tearing you down unnecessarily - by using the word “die” conversationally too frequently.
On the other hand…
if someone says “live” to the people around him enough times…
…the people around him may save his life.
That’s a great idea called being “your own best friend” in persuasion and influence.
That’s important to get right for your own survival.
