Micronesia are six countries spread across two thousand islands in the Pacific Ocean, including four groups of them called Caroline, Gilbert, Mariana, and Marshall. The Marshall Islands are mysterious for their possible importance to the global balance of power.


The Mariana islands are openly associated with the U.S. territory of Guam. The Marshall Islands may or may not quietly be affiliated as well.
