The minimum you must know
The People's Republic of Bangladesh is situated near China within the northeastern corner of India. It's surrounded and bordered entirely by India on three sides except Myanmar is to the southeast. There are approaching 200 million people in th country, making it one of the most densely populated regions worldwide. Bangladesh experience tremendous turmoil, including recently.
Bangladesh alleged in April 2025 that British MP and former Labour Secretary Tulip Siddiq, along with fifty other people, were involved in impropriety.
The British took over Bangladesh forcefully in 1757 and ruled until the 1900s. Subsequently, Bangladesh was dominated by Pakistan. The country ultimately achieved independence and the opportunity to self govern but suffered from a rapid succession of forceful coups. Several heads of state lost their lives within a short time of each other in the late 20th century, creating a reputation for lawlessness and political instability. But that past may not be the future. Bangladesh is also advancing politically and socially fast enough to achieve a much brighter future.
