The minimum you must know

The United Republic of Tanzania is a densely populated nation on the eastern coast of African between Kenya and Mozambique with around 60 million people. It was the combination of two regions that became a single nation-state after achieving independence from British colonization in the early 1960s. The country was controlled by Germany prior to the United Kingdom.

Tanzania borders Rwanda, where a significant conflict took place in the 1990s. But it's considered one of the safest and most peaceful African nations anyway.
