HOW TO PROMOTE
Where populations are obese…
…various foods can seem unhealthy in scientific research simply because excessive consumption of anything/everything is harmful.
But animal meats including cattle, poultry and fish are particularly atherogenic and carcinogenic, according to an exhaustive study (of two hundred thousand people over a decade) published by Harvard University.
The report recommends approximately 90% reduction in animal consumption — from multiple times daily to never more than once weekly.
This writer has given up meat consumption entirely.
Harvard University is far from alone in publishing this finding.
The International Agency for Research on Cancer, the cancer agency of the World Health Organization, reviewed >800 studies and described bacon, sausages, hot dogs, ham and salami as a group 1 carcinogenic to humans, which is the same category of lethality as tobacco smoking and asbestos. Beef, pork, lamb, veal and goat were all found to be so called group 2 carcinogenic.
There are only aligned countries in the medical effort to save human and animal lives.
Nine billion people on earth reduce their longevity every year by disemboweling eighty billion animals.
Together nearly a trillion humans and animals die every decade.
Stop for a second and really consider that terrifying death statistic.
That’s too many people and animals to bear.
Hospitals and cemeteries are not.
There is a moral imperative to change attitudes.
Stopping meat consumption and animal cruelty won’t repopulate earth’s forests and oceans immediately because fewer creatures will be bred into slaughter.
But we have to start somewhere.
“Animals are God’s creatures,” wrote the Vatican. “It is contrary to human dignity to cause animals to suffer or die needlessly.”
The haunting 1515 religious painting “Salome with the Head of John the Baptist” by Bernardino Luini captures a sad brutality that humanity reenacts daily on its food trays—though without noticing.
If you hate the threat of clogged arteries, rapid tumor growth, and premature mortality, this may be your only real call to change your habits.
Research across the world consistently shows that daily consumption of red meat, poultry, or fish sadly increases the risk of cancer, cardiovascular disease, and early death.
Far more people die from meat-linked diseases than from smoking, simply because smoking is less common.
What are you waiting for?
Now is the moment. Right now.
Live longer — and behave ethically — by treating all of Earth’s creatures thoughtfully.
Don’t risk heart disease and cancer unnecessarily anymore.
Hate meats.
Reject the carnivorous cycle of harm.
Give up carcinogenic and atherogenic meats today—and help others do the same.
